   This week I have been working on clue #3 of the Meadow Mystery CAL, adding colourful stripes to my socks and finalising the design of a new pattern for a Summer cowl. I am not sure that working on three things at a time is the best way to actually get anything finished, but sometimes my mind needs the variety. I am finding that the socks are perfect for a relaxing, meditative, mindful crochet session (no ends to darn and continuous rows); whilst the CAL requires a great deal more application (oh, those ends!*). As for the cowl, well...

I am still playing catch up with the DROPS Mystery CAL, as clue #3 has now been released. I don't mind playing catch up though, as it is quite nice seeing what is next and having that to look forward too. Just taking a short break from sock making to start the DROPS Mystery CAL - The Meadow. Here's my Sockalicious Adventure Update! Day 3 saw me complete the leg part of the sock and reach the heel, the stitch pattern is repeated twice. I am really getting to see how the colour change works in this Sunset yarn and I love it! Day 3 also saw the arrival of a soft handled hook, the regular hook was okay, but I much prefer the soft handled grip. A while back, I started to get quite a bit of pain in my fingers when I overdid the crochet, especially if I was swapping hook size between projects. I discovered...

I am really pleased with my sock making progress today; I am about half way down the leg, I just need to repeat the stitch pattern then I am ready for the heel. I have been super disciplined, by making sure that I completed two rows on each sock, in each shade, before continuing to the next set of rows.
