LEARN TO CROCHET A GRANNY STRIPE BLANKET

This 2 hour crochet workshop is designed to get you started with a simple granny stripe blanket. The pattern has been designed by DROPS Design and is called Rainbow's End. The project is suitable for beginners who have mastered the chain and treble crochet stitches.

Price: £15 

When: Monday 8th April 2019, 7 - 9pm

Where: Stitch Studio, Ramsbottom, Bury, Greater Manchester

During the session we will work through the pattern together focusing on the following skills:

  • creating a chain
  • working into the foundation chain
  • working the treble cluster stitch
  • changing colour
  • turning (working back and forth & keeping edges straight)
  • interpreting patterns

The Granny Stripe Blanket workshop price includes:

  • one, 2 hour crochet tutorial session at Stitch Studio, with refreshments,
  • crochet pattern
  • crochet help sheets

You will also need to bring along:

  • 5mm crochet hook
  • stitch markers
  • small scissors
  • knitters/darning needle
  • Materials: DROPS PARIS
    • 250 g color no 38, raspberry
    • 200 g in each of color no:
      • 02 light turquoise,
      • 39 pistachio green,
      • 35 vanilla,
      • 45 dusty orange,
      • 33 medium pink,
      • 05 light purple and
      • 30 denim blue.

Q. As the workshop is simply designed to get you started on the project, you may be wondering what happens next if you need help or advice throughout your blanket journey? 

A. Every Monday evening 7 - 9pm and Wednesday mornings 10am - noon, we have a drop in Crochelize social group (£4 pp) at Stitch Studio, where you can pop in and work on your blanket and/or get help and support.
