Course Details

This workshop is designed to show you the basics of how to work a triangular shawl. The workshop is suitable for beginners – although you will need to know how to do a slip knot, chain and UK htr. During the workshop you will watch a demonstration of the stitch used, how to work the rows and turn your work. You will then get started on your own shawl and we will ensure that you have worked a good few rows and are confident enough to complete the shawl at your leisure when you get home.

Which Scheepjes Whirl will you choose? Click HERE to view the many gorgeous shades available! PLEASE tell me which colour Whirl you would like in the 'Special instructions for seller' box ~ you can find this when you click on the cart button after you have added the workshop to the cart. Thank you :-) Alternatively, choose on the day.

A little bit about the Whirly Wonderful Wrap

This beautiful light weight 60%cotton/40% acrylic mix wrap is perfect for all seasons to add a pop of colour to your outfit. It takes one Scheepjes Whirl to make this wrap and it was designed to be a calming, mindful project that you will find easy to pick up and put down throughout the day! The simple yet effective stitch pattern shows off the gradient in the Scheepjes Whirl perfectly and creates a fabric with a lovely soft drape. You will soon learn the pattern and relax into a steady rhythm.

A little bit about your tutor

Hello!

I'm Sharon Oldfield, the owner and creator of Cotton Pod, an online yarn store specialising in cotton yarns, crochet patterns & crochet kits.

With over 30 years of teaching experience, as a Secondary School teacher & subject leader, then crochet tutor, my crochet patterns, kits and workshops are designed to be easy to follow to make your crafting time enjoyable, mindful and relaxing.

Cotton Pod Logo

I began tutoring crochet workshops in 2015, at Stitch Studio in Ramsbottom, where I would design my own teaching materials and patterns to use in my classes.

A year later, in March 2016 I launched the Cotton Pod website as a home for my patterns and a base to sell the resources needed for my patterns.

I look forward to meeting you and teaching you to crochet soon!
